Frozen Donkey Wheel

First climb into a very cold cave...

Then come upon a Frozen Donkey Wheel...

Then tell her a little secret (whisper!)

Jump out...

Turn the Frozen Donkey Wheel Ben

And that's how ya move an island! WAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLT!!!

This week I...

...touched a spine from the inside, saw a brain, lungs, liver, and intestines. All in a day's work. Man, I love this job :)

Oh yeah, and I also watched the season finale of LOST. No real big reveals there, but oh well, I still liked it, unlike some people (j.).

"A physician we interviewed recounts the story of a laborer in Africa who worked around vats of sulfuric acid -- one of the most caustic forms of acid. The man fell in one day. He quickly leapt out, but was covered in sulfuric acid, which immediately began to burn him chemically. In a panic and excruciating pain, the man ran outside. By the time his coworkers caught up to him, the man had essentially dissolved.

The acid burned the man to death, searing through skin, cauterizing blood vessels, and eating through organs until he died. The pain would be unbearable, and the circumstances irreversible. This is unquestionably a really bad way to die."

A little too tasty

I went to the hospital morgue. AWESOME!!! I can't really get anymore specific than that, but this is starting to become a good time.

Loud, expressive jazz music shot out of the doorway.

Week in Review and/or Human Touch

All I have done so far this week is watch people cry, laugh inside about religious malarchy being preached, eat free food, and answer phones. This has been the first week of my 5 week practicum at a local funeral home. "When it rains, it pours," one of the directors assured me. That's what I'm waiting for... - the "MaZeMaster"

All I have done is walk the streets. - j.

Doll House

We're waiting with bated breath!

Not a bad week to consume. Won't you join us now...TELEVISION:

LOST was on. Not much to really say. We hold our breath for the remainder of the 3 part finale in two weeks. Curse you "Gray's Anatomy." Curse you right to hell.

THE OFFICE finale hit. Brought some laughs to the table after a couple of so so episodes. Enough with the crappy relationship dramarama though eh? Leave that to "Grey's Anatomy" why don't you.

SPEED RACER is totally wicked. Frak the critics. A goddamn thoroughly enjoyable picture. Chim Chim and Racer X (ya know...freakin' Jack) steal the show. Although Christina Ricci's Trixie is a total fox.

As I was pulling into our driveway this afternoon, the hippies, as we so affectionately call them (we give all of our neighbors little nicknames since we don't do the "neighborly" thing and actually talk to them - the smile & occasional howdy is all they get), were vacuuming their sidewalk... Sweeping I could understand, but vacuuming? Weird right?

Thoughts? Reactions?

study break

My #1 guilty indulgence of the moment - Sex and the City. Yup, I wish I could say it wasn't true. But alas, I find myself youtubing old episodes. Of course I can't watch the show w/out having a drink a 2 because that's what they all do almost every episode. So in a way, it's encouraging me to have a late afternoon drink. As I type away, I hear myself narrating in my head just like Carrie Bradshaw would be doing... although no where near as glamorous because when I get up & look in the mirror, I don't see a 30 something living in NYC wearing the latest fashions, I see a 28 yr old who showered this morning & then put her pajamas back on (what would Samantha have to say about that?) & sipped on wine out of her "gramma glass" while eating cheese curd. I guess whatever gets you by, eh?

HCHO + ammonia = urotropin

J's home sick and sleeping. I should be studying for my embalming final instead of staring at Yoshi and chugging coffee. When I graduate, I hope someone gets me one of these handy little kits:

MazeMaster's favorite movie ending sequence.

We saw Iron Man, as everyone should. It was totally awesome! Robert Downey Jr. was spot on as Tony Stark. Any movie where a character makes a drinking problem look cool is fine by me.
